As part of the online application, you will be asked to submit the following:

  • Two letters of reference. Please select individuals who can provide specific and relevant information about your intellectual and quantitative abilities, performance and motivation

Request Official Transcripts

Pay Application Fee: $100 (or request a waiver)

Schedule a Personal Admission Interview

Qualified applicants who have submitted and completed their application will be invited to schedule a personal admission interview. Interviews can be conducted by video conference, telephone, or on campus.

Proof of English Language Proficiency (for Non-U.S. Citizens)

International applicants must have a TOEFL score of at least 100 if internet-based, 250 if computer-based or 600 if paper-based, or an IELTS score of at least 7. Exemptions may be granted for applicants who have earned a degree from an accredited U.S. institution or lived and worked full-time in a predominantly English-speaking country for the past two years.

Domestic applicants: The only difference between the “Early” and “Final” deadlines is the date the decision letter is sent. There is no difference in the way applications are reviewed for each deadline.

Application Instructions

1. Pre-Application

Begin the application process by filling out the pre-application form. Email MS-Marketing if you have any questions.

2. Graduate School Application

After you have completed the pre-application, you will submit the Graduate School Application and pay the application fee.

When selecting your program, please complete the information as follows:

  • Program of Study: Warrington College of Business > Business Administration (Degree Name – Master of Science)
  • Concentration: Marketing
  • Term: Spring (January) or Fall (August) only

3. Upload supporting documents

Statement of Purpose Essay

Ideal length one page (400-600 words). Explain your motivations for applying to the program, why you believe you are good candidate, and how the program will help you achieve your career goals. If there is additional information you would like to share with the admissions committee, buying an essay online you may include it in the essay.

Résumé or Curriculum Vitae (C.V.)

Ideal length 1-2 pages. The résumé provides the admissions committee with a holistic view of each applicant. Use the résumé to highlight your experience, accomplishments and involvement. Elaborate on your duties and responsibilities, as well as leadership activities and time commitments outside of the classroom.

“Pursuant to Florida Statute, your application requires inclusion of all post-high school education and employment, as well as information about ongoing international affiliations and research funding. Please ensure this information is included on your curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé.”

Two Letters of Recommendation

Enter recommenders’ contact information in the Graduate School Application. After you submit the application, the recommenders will receive an email with instructions.

Recommendations must be from someone who has supervised you in some capacity (e.g. professor, buy an essay employer, adviser, volunteer coordinators, etc.). Letters from students, peer leaders, or relatives will not be accepted.

Transcripts

Upload a copy of transcripts (in English and native language) from all post-secondary institutions attended. Unofficial transcripts are accepted for admissions processing. If admitted, official transcripts must be submitted during first term of study.

UF students: Do not submit a copy of the UF transcript. If your UF transcript includes coursework from the other post-secondary institutions attended, do not re-submit those transcripts.

Diploma and Degree Certification (International Applicants Only)

Upload a copy of the diploma and degree certification in English and native language. Applicants who have not received their diploma must submit a letter from their institution stating the program of study and expected graduation date. If admitted, the official diploma and degree certification must be submitted during first term of study.

Policy for 3-Year Bachelor’s Degrees

The UF Office of Admissions will not recognize 3-year bachelor’s degrees from India, Australia, Bangladesh, Canada (excluding Quebec), Nepal and Pakistan. Three-year bachelor’s degrees from other countries are reviewed on an individual basis.

4. Submit Official Test Scores

GMAT/GRE Scores

As of June 2021 a GMAT/GRE test score is not required.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY (TOEFL/IELTS/MELAB) SCORES (International Applicants Only)

Request for the testing agency to send official scores to the University of Florida (code 5812).

For exam minimum scores and exemptions, refer to the English Proficiency Requirements section of the Graduate Application Details. International applicants who take the GRE must score a minimum of 140 in the verbal section.

International applicants from non-U.S. institutions are interviewed as part of the admissions process.

Combination Degree

Eligibility and Requirements

Admission to the combination option is more selective and is considered an “honors” path for high-performing, current University of Florida students. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.

  • 3.2 cumulative UF GPA (listed on top of UF transcript).
  • Completed 90 credit hours, including AP, IB and dual enrollment, before beginning the program.
  • Students who major in a business subject (general business, finance, marketing, etc.) must complete all seven tracking courses before beginning the program.
  • Required completion of FIN 3403 Business Finance and MAR 3023 Principles of Marketing before beginning the program.

Graduate Admission Requirements

To be completed in your bachelor’s degree graduating term with your MS-Marketing advisor.

Admission to the combination option does not constitute admission to the UF Graduate School. To continue with the program after earning the bachelor’s degree, combination students must meet the Graduate School’s admissions requirements. To be eligible for graduate admission, students must:

  • Earn a bachelor’s degree with a grade point average of 3.0 or above
  • Complete the Graduate School application and pay the application fee by posted deadline (The graduate admission application should be completed after the bachelor’s degree application has been submitted)
  • Have no conduct flags that disqualify them from graduate admission
  • Submit valid test scores that meet the program and Graduate School’s minimum requirement (note: test scores are only valid for 5 years)
  • Submit all required combination degree paperwork by posted deadlines
  • Earn at least a “B” or better in any graduate course in order for it to count toward the master’s degree.

Note: All applicants will be required to submit the Information for Residency Classification when they apply to Graduate School. Learn more about Establishing Residency for Tuition Purposes.
